Sagitta Family Office becomes part of CORI Hornbæk Hotel

September 18, 2026

Investment company Sagitta has become part owner of the five-star CORI Hornbæk Hotel, alongside the existing owner group COPI, Zinglersen Properties and two further investors. This partnership strengthens the long-term foundation for both the hotel and the historic property on the coast of Hornbæk.

‍

For COPI, the partnership marks an important milestone in the development of the hotel and the beginning of a new chapter for this historic property just as it will open for the public end of September.

“We are very pleased to welcome Sagitta. From the very beginning, our ambition has been to create a hotel that respects the history of the building while delivering a unique experience for people staying at the hotel. In Sagitta, we have found a partner who shares both our long-term perspective and our ambitions for the property,” says Jesper Brunander, founder of COPI.

CORI also represents a natural extension of Sagitta’s existing investment portfolio, which among others also include student housing and investments related to the experience economy. With its unique location with proximity to the sea, fresh air and nature as well as strong management setup, CORI reflects many of the qualities that Sagitta’s looks for in its investments.

The investment comes at a time when Scandinavia continues to attract international travellers seeking a different kind of luxury experience, defined by nature, milder climates, space and authentic local experiences.

Located on the Danish coast less than an hourfrom Copenhagen, Hornbæk brings these qualities together.

“The investment in CORI Hornbæk Hotel is an attractive addition to our Real Estate investment portfolio, which until now has mainly been focused on the Greater Copenhagen area. We look forward to co-operate with the COPI team on this investment” says Kim Nielsen, CIO in Sagitta Family Office.

‍

CORI Hornbæk Hotel has been transformed with respect for its original 1935 architecture and history as a seaside hotel.

The hotel has 82 rooms, suites and townhouses, including the Sky Suite, a top-floor suite witha private terrace overlooking the coast. The interiors are designed by London-based hospitality designer Afroditi, bringing contemporary Nordic design together with the character of the original building.

Dining is centred around CORI Table, led by Bocuse d’Or 2023 winner Executive Head Chef Brian Mark Hansen, serving modern Nordic cuisine with a Mediterranean spirit. The Jetty offers a more relaxed bar and dining space for both hotel guests and locals.

CORI Spa combines Nordic spa traditions with treatments, longevity and modern recovery.

CORI has seven meeting and function spaces for meetings, private events and weddings. The Sky Suite can also host private gatherings of up to 20 guests.

Set by Hornbæk’s beach and coastal landscape, CORI offers access to nature, golf, art, culture and watersports, making it a year-round destination.

CORI Hornbæk Hotel is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World and will welcome its first guests in September 2026.
